What’s the difference between the FAT-RABBIT™ and the Creamsource Vortex24 Speedring?

The CS Vortex24 Speedring is a dedicated mount designed specifically for one fixture model: the Creamsource Vortex24.

FAT-RABBIT™, by contrast, is a universal solution that adapts to a range of large-format LED panels—not just one.

What’s the difference between the Block Mounting Set and the FAT-RABBIT™?

The FAT-RABBIT™ is a complete mounting system designed for large-format SNAPBAGS®, offering a strong, stable frame with multiple attachment points—ideal for fixtures like the Vortex24.

The Block Mounting Set, on the other hand, is a hardware kit designed to make your own custom frame FAT-RABBIT™ compatible. The blocks can be screwed onto your frame and feature pole receivers that accept the support rods of FAT-RABBIT™ SNAPBAGS®.

In short: Use FAT-RABBIT™ when you need a full mounting solution. Use the Block Set when you want to integrate FAT-RABBIT™ softboxes into your own custom setups.

How do I know which adapter I need? FAT-RABBIT™, RABBIT-EARS®, or RABBIT-ROUNDER®?

It depends on the type, size, and mounting system of your light:

RABBIT-EARS®: Ideal for panel-style LED fixtures (1x1, 2x1, 2x2). Four versions—Mini, Rectangular, Square, and X-Crossover—cover a wide range of shapes and brands.

FAT-RABBIT™: Built for larger panel lights that need multiple mounting points and stronger support. It accommodates heavy-duty fixtures and is paired with oversized SNAPBAGS® like the 8ft DOUBLEHEX™ and 6x5ft Rectangular.

RABBIT-ROUNDER®: Designed for round COB fixtures with common mounts like Bowens, NL-mount, Fiilex, Astera, and more. A universal solution for single-source lights.

Which SNAPBAGS® are compatible with FAT-RABBIT™?

Currently, FAT-RABBIT™ supports two dedicated SNAPBAG® models designed for large-format fixtures:

  • 8ft DOUBLEHEX™ SNAPBAG® – Ideal for ultra-soft, expansive lighting
  • 6x5ft Rectangular SNAPBAG® – Great for wide, directional light coverage
